Designed with a hydraulic gas lift mechanism made in Spain, the TRAKEN is a clever, minimalist design that makes the best out of small bedrooms. Needed a storage bed with no backing and this fit the bill. As mentioned by another reviewer, most of these reviews are likely to be a week old so the long-term quality of the bed frame is uncertain. Nevertheless, I'm giving 5 stars as I'm quite happy with the purchase thus far.
Colour is a little darker (bought light grey super single) compared to the pictures. The delivery team came within their time slot and called 10min before arriving. Assembly was swift (10min) as this is a simple bed frame.
One thing to note is that since there's no backing, the mattress will slide down when the storage is fully opened. Looking at the pictures on the site, it seems there might be a way to overcome this problem but I'm not sure how yet. Until then, I will store things that I do not use often inside.
Also, I thought that it was strange that there's no platform for the base until I realized it's part of the design to facilitate cleaning. There are gaps between the frame perimeter and the floor and I used about 7 metres of clingwrap (costing a few cents) stuffed in between the floor and the frame from inside the storage space to try and seal the gaps to prevent any small insects from crawling in. One thing to note however, which I failed to realize before purchase, is that there isn’t a cover/platform at the base I.e. when you open your storage you will see your floor. Cons:

We got this bedframe because we wanted something without a headboard to increase the walking space in the room. Overall it is good, and it supports our relatively heavy Simmons King bed (about 80kg).
